Before the portraits of the 196 Titans begin their journey around the world, they come to rest at The Eagle’s Nest (o Ninho da Águia ) in Torres Vedras, Portugal.
This is not a museum.
This is not a gallery.
It is a sanctuary.
A place where Titans, their families, and future generations are kindly invited to reflect upon the journey behind the portrait and the legacy that continues beyond it.
The Visible Side
The front of each portrait tells the story of a remarkable life.

A vision.
A struggle.
A contribution.
A journey that left its mark on the world.
This is the side visitors see.
The side that travels.
The side that becomes part of exhibitions and encounters around the globe.
The Hidden Side
The reverse side tells another story.
Many Titans have signed the back of their portrait.
Others have left a reflection, a memory, a lesson learned, or a message for future generations.
These words remain hidden.
Not because they are less important.
But because some things are meant to be discovered slowly.
The visible side preserves the image.
The hidden side preserves the voice.

Completing the Story
The 196 Titans From This World project is a living project.
Stories continue to grow.
Relationships continue to evolve.
Portraits painted many years ago still receive new chapters.
Titans are always welcome to visit Eagle’s Nest (o ninho da Águia) and add their signature, thoughts, reflections, or personal messages to the reverse side of their portrait.
In doing so, the artwork becomes more than a portrait.
It becomes a living archive.
Titans are returning to their portraits fifteen years later.
Some encounters do not end when the portrait is finished.

When a Titan Has Passed Away
Some Titans have completed their earthly journey.
Their place within the constellation remains.
For them, the invitation extends to those who loved them.
Partners.
Children.
Grandchildren.
Relatives.
Friends.
They are welcome to visit Eagle’s Nest ( o Ninho da Águia) in order to add their own words to the reverse side of the portrait.
A memory.
A gratitude.
A story.
Or perhaps words that remained unspoken.
In this way, the portrait continues to carry not only the image of a remarkable life, but also the legacy that continues through those who remain.
Sometimes the most important words are the ones that were never spoken.
At Eagle’s Nest, those words may still find their place.
Their meaning belongs to those who wrote them, and to those for whom they were intended.
Written not for the past, but for those who will one day come after us.
The First Mark
A new tradition is now beginning.
Future Titans visiting Eagle’s Nest will be invited to leave the first mark on the back side of the blank canvas before the portrait is painted.
A thought.
A dream.
A message.
A signature.
A few words for future generations.
Only after this encounter does the artistic process begin.
The first mark belongs to the Titan.
The portrait grows from there.
An Open Invitation
Torres Vedras’ Eagle’s Nest is a place of reflection.
A place where conversations continue.

Titans and their families are always welcome.
Visitors arriving through Lisbon Airport will be personally welcomed.
For those wishing to stay longer, accommodation is available at Eagle’s Nest.
